  Leaving a religion like Islam is like climbing out of the crater of a volcano.  It takes time, courage and not looking back at the abyss. Once you get out you immediately feel the fresh air and the lifting of the morbid weight off your shoulders.  My journey was very similar to his.

  People are so ignorant regarding Islam. It's not just the "extremists". It's baked into the fundamental principles of the Quran and hadiths. It's baked into the core of Islam.

  Aladdin is on point. As an exmuslim (closeted exmuslim), I can’t come out to my family and friends. Islam is like Italian mafia, there is no way out of this cult.if you aren’t exmuslim or mafia mademan, you won’t truly understand how hard it is to come out.

My explanation is, same thing can appear different to someone based on their mental state and available information. Like many people in controlling toxic relationships interpret their partner’s psychotic behaviour as caring and passionate. But once the goggles slip off then they realize how many red flags they ignored. Islam gives you a sense of superiority, promise of afterlife and most cases a community. These are appealing. Also most Muslims don’t speak Arabic. So they can only read the translation. And religious teachers push a narrative that if you have any objection about any line of Quran, it means you misunderstood it or it’s a problematic translation/ interpretation. Also every religious book has some good messages, like: don’t steal, do charity, etc. When parents or school teaches Islam, they only highlight on those good stuff. So it’s easy to mistook Islam as a religion of peace.

  As an ex-Christian now atheist, I have mad respect for ex-Muslims ... and intense frustration at my fellow liberal Americans (religious or not) who label any criticism of Islam as ignorance, bigotry or &quot;Islamophobia.&quot; I can oppose Right-wing Christian nationalism here in the U.S. AND recognize that Islam actually IS worse than modern Christianity in several key ways. I can criticize religion in general AND recognize that Quakers and Presbyterians are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from Jihadists. In our attempt to be accepting and tolerant of all, we&apos;ve ceded power to dangerous <br>ideologies that harm women, children and moderate Muslims worldwide and ignored the inconvenient truth that Islamist extremists aren&apos;t just &quot;a small minority&quot; within the faith.

  What&apos;s bat shit crazy to me is that both the recent guests &quot;leaving Islam&quot; have to wear masks to protect themselves. That&apos;s insane to me. Also, why would the creator of the universe, need a mortal help to smite an apostate. I&apos;m pretty sure the all-mighty alpha and omega can do their own smiting if they are that upset about it someone leaving the faith.

  I know an ex Muslim from Mozambique who converted to Christianity and tje horror she and her mom went through apparently was major.

  As a fellow ex-Muslim, I love that he is speaking out about the problems with Islam. I follow his channel, he is epic. I hope one day all ex-Muslims can be free and come out without threat or violence and death. There are so many of us ex-Muslims. Unfortunately most ex-Muslims are hiding it because of those threats.

  I’m extremely grateful to hear straight from the actual people that experienced not only Islam but extreme Mormonism, Judaism, etc. etc. I have to say out of all religions that worry me, Islam is at the very top. I pray that all non Muslims/ Islamist would see how dangerous this religion can be. If you get killed by wanting out of a “religion” that is more of a death cult. No question about it, no other religions do that, no other religions are that extreme. &nbsp;Yes, they do have some really bad other groups out there but non that are as wide spread as Islam. It’s terrifying to think that there’s so many people that seem to be completely all believing of killing Jews, and wanting to take out the west. The west needs to wake tf up before we end up like the people in Iran. &nbsp;Iran used to be like America in the 60’s- 70’s. Since then the people there have been through it 🫣 I’m sure plenty people love it there but you shouldn’t have your choice taken from you out of fear of death.
