  theres a lady that lives down the road from my grandparents and they won something like 3 million, she continued to be the dinner lady at the local school until she retired and shes literally the nicest most sweetest old lady ive ever known

  The sheer amount of love this man has for his gf is so incredibly wholesome. Every time he mentions her, he gets a sparkle in his eye and looks so bashful and excited. You two lovebirds really are relationship goals 💕

  I find it really difficult to understand how even people who havent won the lottery and just have a lot of money can spend so much money on literally nothing, I could have £100 or £100,000 in my account I will still think something like £10 for a single drink is expensive and I wont wanna spend that

  So one of my best friends recently won the lottery ( last month ). She sent me money that night, I was so shocked and said why have you done this, and tried to send it back but we kept just sending the same amount back and forth till my bank phoned me 😂.<br>She said the reason she sent it was because my husband and I helped her out loads over the last few years (she&apos;s been really skint and struggling) and she wouldn&apos;t of been able to buy the ticket without us😂❤. <br>I think it&apos;s easy to want to thank the people that helped you, but I have been checking in with her to make sure she&apos;s being smart and she is! Hardly anyone knows shes got it and she&apos;s living her life as normal!

  If I won the lottery, I would definitely stay anonymous because I just know relatives I no longer speak to and ex-friends, would come out the woodworks

  My dad&apos;s friend won $5,000,00 (after taxes) in the 90&apos;s. Everyone came out of the woodwork wanting his money. So many cousins he didnt know he had. He had a hard time saying no, and he was broke within 4 year. And all those free loaders disappeared

  Michael was my neighbour! He rented and then bought out the bungalow next door for his parents but they had to sell some years later to help pay off his debt. He had a horrible gambling problem from way before he won the money and would spend most of his time in the bookies

  My family won the lottery about a decade ago! Not the jackpot, but it was $500k when we needed it the most. We all cried. It truly felt like our prayers had been answered. Tax free too!<br><br>My parents gave away about $30k to family, bought a new car, paid off a good chunk of the mortgage, and took us on our dream Disney World vacation. <br><br>My parents still had money they did fun things with and bought things we’d never own otherwise, but they were <b>smart</b> with their winnings and I’m so proud of them for that. <br><br>We’re struggling again, but not because they spent Willy nilly. It took about a decade for it all to dry up, and for $500k I’d say that’s pretty solid.<br><br>We didn’t announce it really, unfortunately in Canada part of the lottery system is you agree to have your name and photo plastered where you won saying “X won X amount of money here!” so a handful of people found out that way lol.
