  Baba Yaga is a witch in Slavic folklore. Her powers and weaknesses vary by story, but in general she&apos;s said to be a shapeshifting woman. She is said to live in a hut with no doors with giant chicken legs and can move to nre locations. She is also said to fly in a giant mortar, which would look like a cauldron, coincidentally. At least one story says that, if anyone were to get into the cabin, perhaps by climbing down the chimney, Baba Yaga would require a sacrifice to get out.<br><br>Barbara Jagger is a shapeshifting darkness. She had a cabin called Bird Leg Cabin on a place called Cauldron Lake, and the cabin mysteriously moves. And, she&apos;s requiring a sacrifice to get out of this nightmare.

  Hayes found himself sitting in the darkness of his recording room. It was night, and he needed to keep working. Keep recording. He was tired, but something urged him onward. The dark liquid in his “Oh Deer, Diner” mug was able to keep him awake well enough. It was coffee rather than his usual vice of tea. He never much enjoyed it, but he recently gained of taste for it. Although he can’t exactly place why. After many long hours of working, he finishes editing his video “Was it Good-Alan Wake”. Hayes leaned back in his chair, looked at his work with pride, and clicked “upload”. Satisfied, he finished his coffee and went to bed. He didn’t realize that the sun had risen.

  In the helicopter at the end whenever Sara Breaker says &apos;you&apos;re a decent writer, bit heavy on the metaphors though.&apos; I flashed back to all the metaphors I&apos;ve read through the manuscript and absolutely lost my shit, floored laughing. I don&apos;t know why, but just the memories of all the metaphors coming back to hit me as Sarah critiqued Wake for them completely hit me in my funny bone so freaking hard. It&apos;s the hardest I&apos;ve ever laughed at a video game. She doesn&apos;t even draw attention to it, it&apos;s just an offhanded comment, but when you go back and read the manuscript it&apos;s FILLED with metaphor, and for some reason realizing that just completely destroys me. I love that the game is self-aware enough to say &apos;wow, we use metaphors a lot huh?&apos;

  I always thought it was weird that the women&apos;s restroom was unfinished and never put it together it was story related. Rose has a whole square of her trailer just missing. It&apos;s a blank space like where a restroom would be but there is no door. I thought it was a developer oversight but on that idea maybe Alan just doesn&apos;t know what girls bathrooms look like lol

  Fun fact about the possessed objects: They were put in the game because the physics engine would (Like many do) sometimes bug out and cause objects to jiggle about as they partially clip into something.<br>And the devs were inspired.

  Barbara Jagger sounding remarkably close to Baba Jaga - a powerful witch in Slavic folklore that appeared as an old lady, lovely touch that most Western players would&apos;ve missed I bet.
