  I just bought a 06 L322 with the 4.2sc and I’m happy to have started the Land Rover ownership journey.. the previous owner put it in 22” Land Rover wheels with Sporty tires and I’m looking for a set of off-road wheel options for it. Even with these tires I just took it into some sand and was fooling around completely expecting to sink and it made it thru like it was a boat happy to be on the lake !! It blew my mind 🤯… <br><br>Just wanted to say I loved this video and the in depth of Land Rovers brilliant and rugged engineering that’s constantly overlooked.. 🤙🏽

  Hi guys, I love this video. Unquestionably, the LR3 is, in my honourable opinion, arguably the best Overlanding Vehicle ever made. A strong statement I grant you, but let me explain. <br><br>I own one of these rigs having picked it up in Cape Town, South African some 11 years ago. <br><br>In the time that followed, my wife, and I, upgraded the LR3 with front and rear steel bumpers, heavy duty rock sliders, roof-rack and roof top tent, water tank (120 ltrs), long range fuel tank (120 ltrs), two fridges and a boot draw system for food, cooking and storage, we upgraded suspension (B6). <br><br>Since then, we have driven around 300,000 Kms around Africa towing a 1,700 kg trailer. Yes, suspension joints have worn out, but the engine, transmission, &nbsp;differentials etc have been faultless. <br><br>Just saying, the LR3 is the last of the true Land Rover Off-Roading (Overlanding) vehicles.

  I love my LR3. I have the dreaded water coming in because the elbow joints that connect to the frame to drain the water all failed. Fun times! It has been a joy working on all the little things that come up and that is really part of the fun. 101k miles. 2005 - I also have a 2018 TD6 Diesel LR5 Luxury which I also love, but I can&apos;t even pretend its the same thing. Its not, even though it appears to be at first glance. Thats way more of a cross country in luxury car you stay in hotels with, but can go overland if you have no other choice, but probably shouldnt. haha

  I&apos;m a Land Rover L4 master tech with 25 years working for the brand. I can count on one finger how many 4.4L engines I have replaced. The 5.0L that followed......I need about 50 fingers.

  The Jag 4.4 V8 is not only a great Land Rover engine, it&apos;s a great engine period. On par with some of the best engines Toyota has created.

  This generation of Rover is hard to beat on or off road. You can&apos;t find a truck that &quot;does it all&quot; as well as a Rover. I&apos;ve had my LR3 for 3 years and it&apos;s my favorite daily/ off road vehicle I&apos;ve ever owned. It&apos;s ultra comfortable, has a great stereo, cruises well on the highway for long trips, easy to work on, is fantastic off road and has tons of space-- not to mention reliable, especially for a Rover.

  I bought an &apos;07 LR3 4 years ago. Over 205k mi now and I love it. Mine was converted to coils so its more reliable, but honestly, I wish it had the air suspension. Maybe one day I&apos;ll switch it back. &nbsp;This is IMO, one of the best looking SUVs ever, the new ones look like crap.
