  I’m so glad y’all covered this case. So much of the media coverage about Celeste has been sensationalized to no end and it truly breaks my heart. Thank you for telling us that Celeste’s middle name was Abigail and that she was so much more than how she died. Thank you both for always centering victims in your podcast. Hoping for justice for Celeste and her family 🕊️

  I don’t think I’ve ever seen Kaelyn this aggravated and annoyed over a case or suspect. Like you can tell this one really bothered her. Don’t let up on him, he deserves every bit of it!

  All i can think about is how similar she is to me and my friends back in the day. I &quot;dated&quot; a 22 year old at 14 who genuinely thought he was the center of the universe. I went to court for him along with 6 other girls and we all mentioned he had more victims than just us, and that he impregnanted multiple of us including myself (i miscarried and he couldnt have cared less), forced one of us to get an abortion, and even proposed to several of us, also including myself. He got less than 3 months in prison. Hes out and lives right across the highway from me. Its disgusting. His mother absolutely pulled strings to get him out of it. And its terrifying. He absolutely could hurt someone and get damn near no repercussions. I really hope she gets ALL the justice she deserves. He deserves the death penalty. Period.

  I think what makes me the saddest about all of this is that Celeste had no idea she was being victimized. At that age we think we know everything and that we are so grown up. I am sure she felt in control.

  I can’t speak from the perspective of a parent (my son is only 7 weeks old) but I can speak from the experience of a 13 year old girl ‘dating’ a 20 year old man. I eventually ended the relationship at 16. As a naive young girl I was completely at the whim of this man. Nothing my parents or other adults in my life said to me was ever more convincing than the love bombing I got from him. Now, this was a man who didn’t even have a job and still lived at home with his parents- if I had a millionaire celebrity I don’t even want to think about the things I could’ve been manipulated into… <br><br>I’m now 30 years old and looking back I still don’t know what my parents could have said or done. I was so sure of myself back then and truly believed I was making the right decisions, I truly believed I was an independent woman who knew what I was doing and what I was getting into. <br><br>I feel so deeply for Celeste. My relationship ended up physically abusive and many times I was scared for my life. Our young minds are so vulnerable to love and affection, it can have such an unfathomable hold on us, but when we’re young we don’t have the experience to discern if that love is coming from a genuine place or a place of manipulation and control.<br><br>It sounds to me like Celeste was beginning to work out what she really wanted and how messed up the relationship was (I.e. the text about only having sex and hanging out and wanting more for herself). It wouldn’t surprise me if she was trying to figure out a way out of this, but he was doing everything he could to keep her in line. He had everything to lose at this point.

  A friend of mine (that I met when we were adults) was groomed as a child by a man who was at least 10 years older, got pregnant at 13, and when she wouldn&apos;t co-operate with her parents to get him charged with statutory rape, they kicked her out of the house. She didn&apos;t leave him until she was 24, they had 4 kids together. I don&apos;t know what I would do if my child was groomed, but I know what I wouldn&apos;t do. Celeste&apos;s story always makes me think of my friend, it&apos;s heartbreaking that there are kids who feel safer running to a pedophile than their parents

  This and the Clancy case have made me extremely upset due to how the public is acting. It’s seen as breaking news and a spectacle. Children died. I’ve seen memes made of the trail. Absolutely disgusting.

  Even if he is found not guilty, the evidence for all other crimes is indisputable. He will go to jail for a long time either way.

  I don’t even think the death penalty is enough of a punishment for something so sick. Everyone in this poor girl’s life failed her.
