  Hit close to home. I&apos;m the husband.<br><br>I was taken away as a child, before 1st Communion, to the protestant church... Then, after getting married in the protestant church to a previously divorced woman, I went through OCIA. Now, I need her 1st marriage annulled and ours convalidated BEFORE I can be confirmed and receive the Eucharist and FULLY come into the church<br><br>Prayers needed and appreciated.

  My biggest issue with the “compromised good intentions” is, if people actually understood what we weren’t telling them, they would be rightfully furious. The Gospel is for everyone and it has to be the full Gospel

  A priest we know has been reprimanded by his bishop after parishioners complained about his preaching the errors of Islam, the unfaithfulness of Jews and the faults of modernity leading souls unknowingly to hell.

  I&apos;m in a similar boat. &nbsp;In my 20s i left the faith, not out of hurt or animosity but i was lazy and unchatecized. Accepting an invitation to an evangelical church was easy because i had very little invested in the Catholic Faith. I married outside the church. After 7 years in the evangelical church, i desired to return to the Catholic Church, which causes consternation with my wife because that&apos;s not what she signed up for. &nbsp;Please pray for us and that she will be open to someday joining the Church or at least convalidation.

  I find the biggest problem is the over sixty crowd, mainly women, run the church and boss the priest around.

  My parents were both divorcees before marrying each other outside of the Church. My wife&apos;s parents divorced and remarried others outside of the Church. All of us baptized and confirmed catholics but our parents have been away from the sacraments for almost 30 years now. Please pray for a miracle that they all come back to the Church.

  I know a priest that preached about hell and they ran him out of the parish, almost with pitchforks and torches.

  I routinely preach on judgement, hell, purgatory, confession, salvation through the Church, the reality of the devil and demons, spiritual warfare, marriage, Catholic identity, Real Presence, indulgences, and so on. I do try to appropriately balance it of course, but I do not shy away although it can be difficult at times.<br><br>I definitely agree with you Brian, none of this is mentioned enough from the pulpit. I grew up with almost zero good Catechesis so I try to do what I can to remedy that for some of the faithful, through Homilies and teaching Faith Formation.<br><br>We must all pray for Holy and bold priests and deacons! Great video.
