One of the most modest, kind, charming, generous and talented athletes in the world. He went through so much it’s really heartbreaking. I remember him at the conclusion of his matches looking up to the sky and blowing a kiss to his sister who passed away young in a car accident. He loved his dogs as well.<br>He’s also soooo cute with his beautiful blue eyes and his warm smile. I wish I could meet him in person. I hope someday he gets married and has healthy beautiful children. He will make a great dad.

Heartbreaking. The nicest guy on the tour, ask anyone. He was a fantastic player, forehand like a sledgehammer and certainly as good as any of the big 3. I remember his breakout year in 2009, when he won everything on the US summer hardcourt circuit, aged 20 and pretty unknown, culminating in his US Open triumph over Federer. But most of all, outstanding as a sportsman and a real good guy. The gentle Leaning Tower of Tandil. Love you, Juan Martin, and wish you all the good things you deserve.
