The Camillus knife, pronounced " Cam- il- us, was a company in Camillus, NY ( WEST OF syracuse, NY) That supplied many ( including the Military Knives from WW1 ON until they went out of business in the 80's . A company ( not sure who) bought the name and are producing the knives under the " Camillus " name. The original company had quality knives comparable to Cutco's knives which produce K- bar knives now. The original company was well respected, so hopefully the knives with the Camillus name are of the same quality.

No Menards in my State Nevada closest is maybe Wyoming. And as far as knives go I prefer my Ka Bar. But many other options and we also have Cabellas, Scheels and many different options. I also prefer mres or first strike rations. Depending. I keep a case of each in my car.

Those bottom waterproof little pop-up sunshades for the beach are good for when you’re in a damp zone in the sand or grass. But agreed = tops are not waterproof and you can typically see right through the seams at the stitching. Also we use those fleece in sleeping bags for the kids sleepovers or interior liner for sleeping bag😂❤

Headlamp $15 = Guidesman water resistant 415 lumen headlamp (lasted 9.5 hours began to dim after 6 hrs! Also has medium and low white light setting, & blue & red lights. Drop rated and comes with a built-in little hook to hang in your tent etc.). Though built-in micro USB rechargeable, I used it on a nighttime bike ride (for 2 hours/20 miles nonstop-downpour filled with cloud lightning. Stupid, but we had to get home by 3am = would not recommend doing that in lightning). Headlamp helped back my 500 lm bicycle light. So in a zombie apocalypse, head to Menards (for their small refrigerated and freezer food section before the electricity cuts out), and find tents, shade shelters pop-ups, RV equipment aisle, water, dry goods, lighting and more.😆🫡✌️🖖

Stainless nesting cups are a nice touch, similar companies give you plastic ones. Also, the UCO fork/knife/spoon will connect to each other making it the perfect length for freeze-dried meals. The knife is essentially useless though.

What do you recommend: a haversack, a satchel, or a small waxed canvas backpack? Awesome job on part 2!!!
