Pedersoli makes some nice rifles. I actually have the "Quigley" version as listed in 45-110 with the creedmoor sights. I have one other in 45-70, think it's called the silhouette. Both are very accurate and such fun to shoot.

I’m Canadian from Alberta and I own the exact same rifle in .45-70 Govt.  I’m an average shot in general and I have no difficulty hitting gongs at 500 & 600 yards using Hornady 325 gr bullets.  Lots of fun to be had on a nice summer day shooting this rifle.

Can't wait to see more on this. My wife and I shoot competition with these all the time we love them. We feel like we accomplished more when we can ring still at 1200 and a peep sight

I have the Pedersoli Silhouette in 45/70, absolutely love it. Black Powder and 500+ grain bullet😁

The Sharps was a fantastic surprise as well as you shooting it off hand. I do not have a falling block but I have a Marlin 1895 in 45-70. People have always been amazed when I told them how accurately I could shoot it with the factory iron sights until my eye's started to go with age. I often had to prove it to them and they usually had their mouth open catching flys. Never did ELR with it though! Today it wears a nice 3x9x40 scope so the ageing eye is not a problem. Thanks for your video and thank the wife for me too! I enjoy them so much!

I can’t wait to see what you do with this rifle. Just a quick tip Mark always bring the rifle to half cock when you drop the leaver . If you don’t you will damage the firing pin . Love what you and Sam are doing.

I love the looks and falling block action of the sharps rifle and the 45-70 cartridge is a powerhouse that rifle is absolutely beautiful it is one of my favorites of the older western style rifles

Looking to forward to seeing more on the 45/70. I have a Pedersoli Sharps 45/70 and I think they are a fine rifle. Just make sure you put the hammer on half cock when you lowed the block, lever, or you can damage the firing pin. I have shot mine out to 900 meters once, hard to do with 70 year old eyes.  Not to bad at 400 yds.

20 year old me had a Taylor & Co Quigley Sharps 45-70. Most incredible and incredibly impractical rifle I've ever owned however it was rated for all modern smokeless loads and  manufacturers (Cor-Bon) state their ammo is safe for modern falling block rifles.

Sounds like 2 excellent and interesting project rifles in the works. Looking forward to seeing both develop. Thanks!
