I was playing a gig at the Sydney Uni one night and I broke a string, I felt a tap on my leg and it was Tommy. He took my guitar and handed me his then when the song finished he handed my guitar back with a new string on it. Now that was such a thoughtful and inspiring thing for him to do he is a really great guitarist and an awesome human. Thanks Tommy! ♥

I fiirst saw Hendrix play in 1967 and stood their open mouthed at his playing. In the early 2000's I went to see and hear Tommy for the first time, my jaw came up just short of hitting the floor, phenomenal player, end of.

As a fledgeling guitarist i attended the journey man concert at festival theatre, mainly to see my hero Eric. But Tommy blew my hair back. He stole the show, I couldn't believe what he could do with a guitar . Amazing. Never forget it. Thankyou.

A buddy of mine coerced me into seeing Tommy at a live show around the year 2000. Being more of a heard rock musician, I'd never heard of him before and was skeptical about paying good money and traveling a long distance to see some guy sitting by himself on a stool playing an acoustic guitar . . . and not even singing.

I went anyway, and by the time Tommy had played a few songs, I was watching and listening with my mouth open in awe and wonder. I couldn't believe what he was playing.

About the 4th song in, he announced that he was going to play "Somewhere Over The Rainbow", which is a song I don't like. I'm not a fan of popular show tunes and that song has always irritated me.

But when Tommy played it, I was totally mesmerized. In fact, about 2 minutes ibto the song, I realized that I had tears in my eyes because I was so profoundly moved by his playing.

Embarassed, I looked around the concert hall and saw that half of the audience had tissues out and were similarly moved to tears.

I've been to many concerts and have playing some myself, and I've never seen anything like that, before or since. I've been to about a dozen TE shows since then and it's always the ssme. Tommy's playing is so soulful and so full of feeling that the audience sits riveted in their seats staring intensely at him while he's playing, savoring every note and nuance, and then erupting into thunderous applause the moment the song is done.

The whole show is like that. TE is a global treasure.
