  Belt balancers were much easier for me to grasp once I started thinking of them I practical terms. It just looks like a plate of pasta, until I think of it as, say, one belt of 300 and one belt of 150 coming in, and I need 225 coming out. So I split the 300 into two belts of 150, and the 150 into two belts of 75, and then combine 150 and 75 twice.<br><br>I tend to be a visual learner, but in this case, having a practical scenario for context, even just mentally, was really helpful.

  A suggestion for your belt splitters that require recycled lines and the input belt is capped. For the recycled line(s), instead of merging it before the initial split, you split the recycled line into 2-3 and merge them after the initial splitter. That way you can have the same total input and output. For example to get a 780 belt to split into 5 belts of up to 156, instead of being limited to 130.

  I used to do splits. Now I just use manifolds. There are still production ratios to calculate without also doing all the fancy-schmancy perfectly balanced conveyor belts, too, even if it can look absolutely amazing if you&apos;re going for the most aesthetic factory with everything moving like a perfectly choreographed ballet.

  I love throttling. It&apos;s like subtracting instead of adding. &nbsp;Using a smart splitter to try and jam a 780/min belt onto a 480/min belt creates a nice even 300/min Overflow. &nbsp;Now you&apos;ve got a belt with 300/min on it which opens up a lot more ratio possibilities. I route the first 480/min back into the buffer it all came from, for a net 300/min leaving the buffer. Easy blueprint to make.
