In 1994 I got a job offer to work at RIM, it was 50 meters from where I was living on Phillip Street. I also got an offer to work at Microsoft in Redmond. I picked Microsoft and worked 5 years before starting my own technology company.

Even now, in mid/late Sept 2026 I would rather have my old BlackBerry Bold than my current iPhone 16.. I hate touchscreens. Always have, always will. Loved the physical keyboard of the Blackberry. Also loved the multi-colour LED which told you if you had an incoming call, message etc even when on silent. Size & shape meant it would fit in a shirt pocket. So many good things about the BlackBerry... so many bad things about modern "smartphones"

Brother If I was one blackberry executive when the iPhone came the first instinct should be sell all my shares and find some other job or retire<br>There was no chance any company could beat Apple on that field<br>No way
