  I replayed the trilogy recently, and it was only just then that I realized how seriously Marcus takes the &quot;No man left behind&quot; part of the warrior&apos;s code.<br>You see it all over the first game; interrupting Kim about rescuing Alpha, constantly keeping in touch with Baird, and Cole, even ALL the way back to the opening cutscene when Marcus says to Dom &quot;What about the other prisoners?&quot;<br>Really paints Marcus as the kind of leader who eats last; never giving orders he wouldn&apos;t himself follow.

  I’m 20 years old, stumbling upon this game was such a chance encounter for me lol. I remember I was like 10 or 11 and my mom took me to GameStop because she is amazing and loves me. I found gears of war 1 in the clearance bin for literally 99 cents. I fell in love with the setting, plight and characters so fast

  Went to Toys R Us back when they were still in business, my aunt took me. Saw this game that had a cool looking title poster, “a chainsaw on a gun?” I thought. Opened a whole new story and legacy that has consistently hit the mark. Love the series.

  I still can&apos;t believe there&apos;s only 6 gears games when there is so much lore but 22 mainline COD games

  I’m so glad I had the pleasure of playing through this trilogy with my step father at the time. Sadly he passed away before we ever had a chance to play any other games together but I feel like he would’ve liked them too. He was the guy that sold me on these games and even talked my mom into letting me play them with him as kid because he didn’t want to play alone after learning about the coop feature (and or after getting frustrated at the bad friendly ai in the first game I’ll never know lol). It’s cool to see people still admire these games too! And great video of course 🙏
