Hey guys, we put this video together before James Ransone passed and therefore don’t mention it in the video. Really sad to learn of his death, especially as it happened the week that we were in the middle of putting this together. Just wanted to acknowledge this here incase you were wondering why we don’t bring it up in the video.

RIP to James Ransone. I watched IT Chapter Two a day before the news came out about his passing. He was amazing in this movie.

"You need to cut that f*cking mullet... it's been like 30 years, man" might be the funniest line I've heard ever

Eddie was a limo driver in the book because of his amazing sense of direction and navigating skills. He got them out of the tunnels as kids after that thing we don't talk about happened.

James Ransone's passing has hit me pretty hard, not just for the impact he made on the IT film, it's because he died the same way my uncle did. It's just so sad to think of anyone believing that all they deserve is the end of a rope.

Pennywise didn’t lie about taking away the lil girl's birthmark. He gobbled that sh*t right up.

Regarding the bike ride to revive Audra in the book & Mini Series... It's explained that Pennywise's abilities and side-effects were based on fear, imagination, and they are affected by the belief coming from the person IT is using IT's powers against. Also worth mentioning is that the book really does talk about Bill's bike "Silver" a lot more, and in that time period, a kid's bike was a deeply personal attachment.

In the book, there's a chapter ("Bill Denbrough Beats the Devil") where young Bill saves young Stan and himself by riding away from Pennywise and going faster than he should have been able to, because he BELIEVED he could (Silver could go so fast, that he felt like he could beat the devil). Much like how the inhaler actually BECAME battery acid, the belief made it real, BECAUSE that's how Pennywise's powers work. It's all very complex, but it has to do with the idea that when kid's play make believe, the REALLY believe they're a cowboy, or an astronaut, or whatever, and that we lose that "magic" as we get older (also why Pennywise prefers to eat children, because their belief also turns their fears more realistic, which makes them tastier to IT).

In the end, adult Bill uses that same "hack" to bring Audra back from catatonia by riding so fast, he could "beat the devil", which is also why the Epilogue is titled "Bill Denbrough Beats the Devil II" (2 because it's the second time he uses Silver in this way). He forced himself to believe beyond all hope that it WOULD work, and because Audra was still under the effects of Pennywise-magic, that belief is what broke the spell.

Sorry, long-winded, but I hope that helps anyone still working out just how a bike ride is supposed to cure someone who's catatonic! LOL

I never took issue with the ending involving Audra and the bike. It feels to me like a continuation of the power of belief to best Pennywise. The bike was frequently said to be fast enough to beat the devil. Bill's belief in this manifested in beating back the effect of the dead lights.

The film never reduced her in a damsel in distress. She was the leader of the group. That's who you attack first
