The 3 cent green stamp is a nice one.

Another interesting selection of stamps. I knew of all of these, but I wouldn't have thought to include them in my top 5.

Thanks. I've never seen these stamps before and it's always good to learn about new to me things.

Hi Smokey - great to see you and Rob together there! Rob’s picks of U.S stamps were really interesting indeed !!! Great video -!!
Would it be great to have five or six of us on together - but that would be too hard I imagine with the time zone differences etc :)

I actually prefer old, international stamps ( as a US citizen). I just want to learn more about other countries, their history. I really like BOB US stamps. They are so fancy. I have a BOB album for those...but also, occasionally find international stamps ( like Spain telegraph stamps) that I try to squeeze into blank spots in my Scott albums. It kinda makes a mess of organized album pages...but otherwise they get lost in piles.
I recently won a bid on cigarette stamps from the US. Of course there aren't any spots for those in my album 🙄...but the history behind them is cool. I don't know if other countries had as many kinds of tax stamps as the US. Definitely can't get into collecting those as well ...but I'm more likely to be able to afford US revenue stamps than the rare US ones.
My father was a paper boy when he was young ( getting up at 4am and riding a bike for hrs b4 school in all weather) and saved his $ to buy stamps and coins. 😊
