Since when did games end in a tie in the 70s? If a game was called because of darkness or curfew, it just picked up where it left off the next day.

As a 78 year old, to me the golden age of baseball when the sport was at its best was in the 1950s thru the mid 60s. To me the game of today is not nearly as good when you have a starting pitcher rarely pitching past the 6th inning and needing 3 relief pitchers to finish the game

No one wearing big numbers unlike today where you see multiple players wearing numbers from 50 to 99. No baggy pants plus they still had stirups I miss this type of baseball.

The only stadium without lights in the 1970s was Wrigley Field. You're full of the stuff that comes out the south end of a bull walking north.

I don’t remember many games ending in a tie back then. That was only the American League umps that wore the chest protector on the outside. That’s how you could tell them apart. I paused to write this and then I’m gone.
