I love euphoria, and something that fascinates me is that the cinematography and production value exceed what the script is even worthy of....and I LIKE that about it. Every single shot feels purposeful.

Euphoria needs to be taught at every film school it's the most artistic piece of television ever created. S2 took it to a whole other level.

Very interesting video. While I do not view this show's script as something spectacular, the cinematography is legendary and thank you for covering that.

theres a shot in particular in euphoria where i believe is zendaya riding a bike at night towards the camera in a long take with a strong light behind her. dynamic light, moving camera, long take all in the same scene

My favourite thing about this show is that it sets itself as a standard for Modern Cinema from now on.
Also unrelated but Labrynth was a big part of giving the show it's emotion and depth.

The carnivale episode, was one of the most impressive episodes of the last decade in terms of cinematography. Are you planning to make a similar video about Channel 4's Utopia? That show definitely deserves a breakdown.

The best focus pullers Ive ever seen are on this set, the lenses they work with always have deep focal depths and image is still so focused on despite the continuous dynamic camera movements

5:28 - Rue party scene, I get that it's a spinning rig set with camera on the crane, but why is no-one talking about the fact there are literally people walking on the ceiling? I can't see any wires in the albeit very quick BTS shot, but I am imaging the wires are hidden in walls or something? There is a girl literally sat down on the stairs and it all looks so well done and genuine. Very impressive, I am sat here scratching my head as to how they actually did this so any suggestions or ideas are very welcome!

Would love to see a similar breakdown of HBO's Barry. That show has some of the most thoughtful and visually striking cinematography on modern television.
