  Luke lives in our village, often see him just being a normal bloke just going to the co-op to get some shopping. No heirs or graces. An absolute credit to SAFC

  They say never meet your heroes - but having had the opportunity to meet Luke on the pre-season tour in Nashville, he proves the exception to the rule. <br><br>8 months ago, My wife and I named our newborn son after him. My wife proudly showed him pictures and explained our story - we wanted to name him after a positive male role model. Luke was genuinely taken aback. He told us how humbling it was, and said he wanted to get a match worn jersey for him. He then wrote our son a personalized message (framed in his room already!) and then spent 10 mins talking to us about sleep schedules, teething, &nbsp;being a parent. Just amazing. <br><br>When we asked for a picture, he asked my wife is he could &nbsp;hug her and then asked me &quot;can I put my arm around your wonderful lady?&quot; - just so respectful from start to finish. <br><br>Our meeting with &quot;Mr.Sunderland&quot; is one ill never forget for all the right reasons ❤

  Newcastle fan here, as part of the other side you naturally dislike the heroics and stuff he does but this was a fabulous listen and he seems like a really nice lad. Every team needs a player like this in their team. Well done on your career, Luke 👍🏼

  I always want to dislike him as a Newcastle fan but every time I see or hear anything from him, I end up liking him more. What an intelligent and grounded young man.

  One thing I have always noticed, is that the most relaxed humans succeed the most. football, snooker, people at work - the ones who can naturally take a step back and see it all for what it really is - and its usually not a lot. once your body is relaxed, it performs on every front of human existence....even sex!

  Newcastle fan here, really good interview and I genuinely feel like I&apos;ve learnt a lot from it. Also really refreshing to hear a footballer come across as down-to-earth, very intelligent and likeable.

  That&apos;s why Brazilians were always so successful, they always played with joy and a smile, there&apos;s a famous interview from young Kaka that he says &quot;why would I ever be afraid of playing a derby that the whole Brazil is watching (220mi people), if football is the thing that I love to do the most?&quot;.<br><br>Considering the things said in this podcast, it&apos;s also worth thinking about Arsenal this season 25/26, imagine the pressure they were feeling in that pitch...

  As a Sunderland fan I can say this with total honesty.....Luke must stay at the club at all costs even after he&apos;s finished playing football,the hierarchy must give or create a roll for him.<br>He said at the end about your diet....well your diet is everything you consume and its not just food
