  i think cadance has just as much power as celestia and luna but never uses it due to 1. not needing to and 2. she hasn’t quite mastered her horn. twilight was originally a unicorn so she’s used to and has practiced with it since she was a filly. celestia and luna were born as alicorns so they, too were used to their horns since fillyhood. cadance however was a pegasus and therefore didn’t receive her horn until later, therefore stunting her magical abilities since she isn’t exactly being trained in how to use it either. yes she was in celestia’s magic school but she didn’t actually have the horn to practice with, and watching and learning is different than actually doing it

  if youre saying candence was easily kidnapped and replace did we forget the episode with thorax where the princesses and the mane six were kidnapped and replaced just as easily as well.

  Are we completely ignoring how Celestia got beaten by this bug queen? We could argue it's because Celestia was still grooming Twilight to become the next leader, but still. She still risked the lives of civilians by training Twilight this way. Also, that's fanon and pure speculation, so Celestia could genuinely be useless in combat.

  Also, as a thousand comments already said, Cadence is also heavily implied to be a descendent or a partial reincarnation of Princess Amore, the previous Crystal Empire ruler.

  Out of all of the Alicorn cadence cadence is the weakest. Some say She's the weakest because she was a Pegasus first so she didn't have magic like a unicorn where she could grow on it
