  Going to Paris to visit friends. I’m taking an older phone for taking photo and texting.  Zero banking or credit card info on phone.

  After this video, do this: settings &gt; screen time &gt; content and privacy restrictions &gt; passcode &amp; face id &gt; change to don&apos;t allow<br>Passcode and &amp; Face ID will disappear in the settings menu.

  Caution on the face ID thing for phone protection. In many states the police can open your phone without a warrant or your permission by using your face or eyes or thumbprint because it is considered public access. Just like they can legally take a glass or soda can you just drank from and, if disposed of in a public place, take it.

  You just showed us on this video exactly what to do. Keep your phone close to your chest. Avoid handling your scrolling and texting in a wide open public space. One wouldn’t open their Wallet or be counting their money in public. This is how you must treat your phone these days. Your phone doesn’t just have your money. It has your whole life that’s the way they set it up..

  Another great addition I have on my phone is that it gets locked automatically when airplane mode gets enabled. Apple has an app called Shortcuts which you can use for this. The first thing a thief wants to do is to enable airplane mode to prevent tracking.<br><br>Stay safe out there!

  I recommend putting Messages behind Face ID too because of sms 2 factor codes

  I don&apos;t use Face ID at all, because I consider that its own security risk.
