22:37 With your dead and dying trees, as you were saying they are critical habitat, but especially any hollows in the trunk.
So, with concern for road and infrastructure safety (ie. the fence), it is better to lop most of the branches, leaving the trunks standing.
The standing trunks will likely stand (extremely likely) for hundreds of years, and also, as you were saying, in the event that they do topple, they are tilted so that they will fall into the field.
Judicious branch lopping will also make them much more likely to (eventually) fall in the direction that you desire.

I'll say again, the trunk hollows are extremely important for ecological habitat.

Happy to see the efforts to provide off roading scooters for those with mobility issues. Great partnership and will hopefully bring more people to explore the estate and the rewilding efforts that have become part of the stewardship of Mapperton Estate.

Good to see Mapperton is willing to be inclusive - for mobility vehicle users to be able to walk alongside their families is valuable and inspiring - plus having shared conversations at journeys end will enhance the experience! Well done!

Luke, the smile on your pig's face, when you were rubbing her tummy was pure bliss to the pig, but for us, it was a sweet moment to watch the happy pig hoping for more scratches from you! Hopefully, a boar is moving back into Mapperton! Fingers crossed! Congratulations Luke, Claire and all the Wilding team! Sending much love to Julie, yourself, and the wider Mapperton Family!❤❤😊😊
It would be fun to write a book or children's movie based on all the animals brought to Mapperton. Give them all names and the Mapperton crew are all charachters as well! In stead of Beatrix Potter, you have Mapperton through the eyes and dialog of the animals. You could have a gift shop selling tie in goods like stuffed animals that look like the real deal at Mapperton and other cute Mapperton animals. The Adventures of Mapperton Mammals or a day in the life of Rewilding at Mapperton as told through the animal's voices and interactions with the humans at Mapperton! 😊
