Yeah Im worried about blowing my older speakers if I ever p;ayed at 0db Ref. I usually play casually at -22 to -18 and then when I want to really shake the house then maybe -15 or -13 at MOST. Ive never hit -10 yet!!

Streaming services like Disney Plus or Netflix calibrate their studios to 79 dB and peaks up to 109 dB, which is more in line with the size of home theater rooms.

I listen to music at max volume and my ears are perfectly fine. I'm only 36 but I love loud music and movies.

It depends on the trims setup on all channels. <br>On my Yamaha, trims are in the range 0db to 4db. My volume level during playback is around -40db

Watching a movie l am normally around -9db. Though l have enjoyed reference level more than a few times.

For you that comments here: You can’t say -10 if you don’t calibrate 0 to reference.

I’ve calibrated my system at 75db but I’m still nowhere near that. It’s loud! I cap my receiver’s volume off way before that but I can still get it really loud.

Chana this one is for you I have a 6.2.4 speaker setup, with one speaker at the back of my room, will this give me the same performance as 7.2.4?.
