The USS Horizon, Archon and Essex were mentioned on TOS /TNG as missing for a hundred years or more until their fates became known. They were from the same timeline as NX-02 Columbia and USS Franklin. There are other ships that were missing but found during TOS (SS Valiant and SS Columbia) as well.

"If you can't take a little bloody nose maybe you should go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's Wonderous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross. But it's not for the timid." - Q

They used to dispatch search parties to look for missing Oberths, but nowadays they just rubber stamp them as destroyed, all hands lost.

You missed the Daedalus class USS Essex, that ship was missing for 200 years before the Enterprise D found it.

We know what happened, Cameron lent the Enterprise B to his buddy Ferris and the rest is history.

How is this only a 13 minute video? There's gotta be hundreds in canon.

“Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.”
― Douglas Adams, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

10:25 I haven't seen SNW but am I getting here that Starfleet has its own SCP division? Cause now that I've had the thought of that I immediately want 14 novels and a short film about it.

I remember being scared a s child in the very early 2000’s, of the “Defiant” episode in the TOS. Being genuinely worried about the characters, because of what was happening. And the music was creepy too.

Excellent video!
