  sad part is, at the end, YuYevon basically guaranteed that ALL Fayth and Aeons and Summoning needed to end in order to permanently kiII Sin.<br>He wanted to preserve traditions and Summoning, but he created the absolute reason why it needed to die.

  I also think that yunalesca couldn´t give up this cycle, because than she would have to face the fact, that she sacrificed her husband for nothing.

  She’s a tragic antagonist, someone who defeated Sin first but became a guardian of a broken system, willing to sacrifice others to preserve a fragile peace. A sense of false “hope” because she genuinely believed there was no other way. And if there was a way. It’s impossible. Meaningless to try. Thus &nbsp;“Sin is eternal”<br>Both Yu yevon and Yunalesca, become prisoners of their own solutions. Systems built on fear and loss will eventually perpetuate the very suffering they were meant to stop.<br>This is a textbook example of road to hell is paved with good intentions. <br><br>Auron is the bridge, was the first one who refuses to accept that “this is just how be things are” but Yuna inherited that truth. <br><br>If you compare Yunalesca to someone like Yuna, the contrast becomes clear. Yunalesca accepts the cycle, while Yuna fights to end it entirely. <br><br>While others resisted. Like Braska (who believed it may not come back this time) &nbsp;and Jecht (who believed he will find a way to break the cycle) and Auron was the one to help make it all happen. Auron believed he changed nothing, but a way was found, Sin doesn’t come back this time. Auron had to carry that torch to pass it on even in death. And it was in that first act of defiance against Yunalesca/System which caused him his death that change was coming. Yuna successfully broke the cycle.<br><br>In the end. Yunalesca is someone who has stopped being able to imagine a world outside the system she serves.

  One of reason why Final Fantasy 10 is one of my favorites, the lore is so deep with so much meaning

  It is interesting that Yuna is named following Yunalesca. However, they are the opposite version against each other. Even their countries were the rival in the history.

  This was one of the best descriptions I’ve ever heard of Spira’s endless cycle of death. Yunalesca is so fascinating and this puts her all into the right perspective for me.

  I love that Yu Yevon is portrayed almost tick like. So dug into his own vicious and dogmatic religiosity that he transformed into a creature that sucks the life out of its host to live. Very fitting. A god, outside of time and space that only exists because he leeches the life out of a person and becomes them. Not only becoming Sin, but consuming the life of the summoners.

  According to Maechen, Bevelle made the whole thing up, and she had no idea of it until pilgrims started coming to Zanarkand.<br><br>He also assumes that it is possible that she may wanted this from the start.

  The first time I play this game as a teen I didn&apos;t understand the story. Later as I grew older and replay again I finally understood the ending. It broke me even more when I see the last scene on the airship. Our journey comes to an end and everything is over. I still refuse to accept the reality just as much as Yuna.
