  Parents often think that teenagers can be trusted. That is a huge mistake. A certain amount of trust is necessary, but when a 15 yr old is out til after 3 AM? Don’t get me started.

  The mother washing his pants really troubles me. I don't know that she had a pattern of covering up his bad behavior, but if she did, his behavior may have only accelerated over time. Consequences are healthy and it begs me to question whether or not he ever had any.

  When Aiden posted “has anyone seen Tristan”? After he murdered her, it indicates not only no remorse, but boasting this deeply disturbing behavior is taunting the parents and law enforcement and indicates a deeply disturbed individual with no empathy. In addition, when told Tristan was missing/murdered he said “how’s that my problem”?  Clearly this young man is a danger to society. He is broken! Cases like this are not fixable!  Therapy and medications will not make him a decent human who is fit for functioning safely in society. Also, anyone who has claimed responsibility Ned’s to have swift, stern consequences! The precedent needs to be set that this is no joking matter. Finally, the mother should be charged, have a very steep fine and face potential prison time as well! Aiden needs to be shown just how much it is HIS problem and he should never have the freedom to harm again. If he does, he will. He’s broken beyond repair. He posted a selfie of himself in the cop car with some sort of peace sign. He deserves to be tried as an adult and should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

  The lack of parental supervision bothered me, too.  The mother trying to coach her son also showed that there were no brakes or accountability for Aiden.  He may well be a psychopath but the only upside is that the unfortunate murder may be his last.

  Tristyn was a friend and teammate of my daughter. I can not comprehend the evilness of all this. The poor poor Bailey family. We pray for them every day.

  I was thirteen years old once -- over fifty years ago. None of the kids I knew talked about wanting to murder someone. It was unheard of. Have times changed THAT much?

  His dad “loses” the alleged murder weapon and his mum hand washes his trousers, to wash out potential inculpatory evidences.<br>I reckon the whole family tree could do with a mental evaluation.
