Ronnie's videos helped me decide to retire early last year. I have seen too many people kick the bucket far too young for me to carry on in a paid prison. I get up when I want, do what I want, and speak to who I want. You will only have so many years being able to do that. UK

My last 6 months of work were very difficult. I think it was because the finish line was in sight. Your videos helped me through the worst of it. Thank you!

Yes, life is passing by so quickly. Ronnie your YouTubes have helped me to decide to retire as soon as possible and that is now 5 weeks away. I have worked some the age of 16 (with a short 5-6 year break in having two little boys) and I am now nearly 67 years old. I am so grateful I crunched the numbers and decided “enough is enough”. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your wisdom!

What I have learned about time is that when you look back at 10 years or 20 years it seems like it was yesterday. But looking forward 10 years 20 years seems like a long time but you're actually traveling through those years in front of you at the same speed as the ones behind you. The years come fast and you'll be saying about the years in front of you that felt like yesterday. Get busy living. 😊

It seems that the first few years of retirement is sort of a healing process that the mind goes through to process the mental fatigue of the working years. The emotional trauma, the successes, the failures, why did this happen, why did that happen, was such and such the correct decision. Who were my allies at work and who were adversaries? Maybe not what you thought at the time. Reconciling it all. This process scan take years, and then finally you discover who you are without the need for anyone else's approval. As Ronnie indicates, now you are just you and no longer need to a put on the big act.

I'm selfish and I'm not afraid to admit it. I don't need to maintain an image, only my peace.

I recently heard about a coworker of mine who had passed. I met him 25 years ago in my career. Back then he was near 60 and me in my mid 20s. Where did 25 years go? Now I'm in my 50s and realizing just how fast life goes by.<br>Thank you Ronnie, for having these retirement talks.

Hello Ronnie, we truly appreciate your outlook on retirement. I am one of those who regrettable waited too long to retire because we are also living on a fraction of what I thought I needed to make it.

Yep #7 is the one. I retired at 60 and I will be 66 in September. Six years went by just like that. The years keep going quicker and quicker. I don't know how to slow them down. You are right it is quite sobering, but I try to just appreciate every day the Good Lord has given me. Although it's nice to look back and remember so many things in life, both good and bad and just regretting that I was so busy and didn't really live in the present as much as I should have, since retiring I try to enjoy every day and keep looking forward. If I'm still breathing, I'm not done yet!
