  I like how the journals are clearly meant to characterize the Dragonborn as little as possible but that lack of characterization can itself works as characterization.

  The Nerevarine chronicling entire conversations in his journal word-for-word, separate from his day to day journal section, with an entire separate index section with footnotes pointing to every other page in his journal where index entries are mentioned.

  I&apos;m late but I think it&apos;s important to note is that we know in-universe that journalling is actually considered a very important, often spiritual obligation, thanks to the &quot;The Onus of the Oghma&quot; lorebook. So one could read the Dragonborn&apos;s incredible dedication to this practice as indicative of either being very spiritual, or at least heavily influenced by this cultural expectation.

  TLD is just unemployed and had literally nothing going on in his life prior to arriving in Skyrim so of course he&apos;s just down for whatever, and is so calm in literal apocalypse situations because he really has nothing to lose.

  This opens an opportunity for an excellent and fairly easy mod that changed journal entries based on personality traits you can select at the start or change. Immediately I thought of the low intelligence dialogue options in Fallout.

  That last journal entry: &quot;I have fulfilled my destiny as Dragonborne&quot; gave my chills&quot;. I vicariously felt his life satisfaction. Imagine being part of a prophecy like that, and for a moment realising you have just fulfilled you destiny that has been waiting to happen since before you were born.
