  I think Dark Talbain was explained in the Capcom Encyclopedia. I vaguely remember a section in Talbain's entry that mentioned that he separated his human and werewolf sides, and the werewolf side turned evil, so he had to fight his inner demons to right the wrongs of his past

  I’ve always touted that a new Darkstalkers game should have Anita as the primary protagonist and Donovan as Dee as the primary antagonist, and the cast falling in either side of the conflict or doing their thing tangentially. Dee wants to rend the human world asunder with his darkness and Anita has to save him either by appealing to his remaining humanity or taking his life. Even had the notion of it being called “Darkstalkers: Vampire Slayer”. <br><br>But now, as you pointed out, Belial coming back after having so much influence on the events of what we’ve had so far also makes so much sense, so we definitely need at least two more Darkstalkers game so we can have a “Belial as the final boss” game too.<br><br>“Darkstalkers Are Not Dead” is a mantra the fans tout as a badge of honor, and so long as we’re keeping them relevant in videos and other fan projects and playing the games, it never will be!

  One of the victory quotes for Bishamon in VS states he liked the guy’s name so much he had to use it.<br><br>This makes it clear that the Bishamon in VS is not the same one from the previous games.

  Marionette/Shadow will always be my favorites for all the bits of extra flavor related to them. Their creepy entrances and arcade endings, the fact that you never get an in-game explanation for them, the fact that they visibly fatality the opponent at the end...all perfect.

  I wish Capcom allowed Jon Talbain to appear as a playeable character in a crossover Fighting game or crossover rpg strategy game

  If Darkstalkers 4 were to come out, I&apos;d suggest that Anita should be the protagonist, Dee as the M Bison-type generic boss, Belial as the Akuma-type secret boss and both Marionette and Shadow become playable fighters with their own backstories made for them.
