I thought I had dodged the problem on mine, but as the time went on the day finally hit and I got the red ring of death. I was part of the extension and I heard that I was one of the very last of the warranty work before it closed its shop and they took all the time they needed since they only had under 100 XBoxes left on the tables when mine went through.

Thanks for this informative video. I recently fixed my 20-year-old 360 with 2 quadrants flashing of the RRoD. New thermal paste and working like new for now.
