The ladder prop feels like every pastor went to the same corporate leader seminar and brought back the same jargon and spread it through their corporations.

All us youth pastors have had to deal with the “prop-using camp speakers.” And man. How about that wonderful van ride home when all your kids start asking you why you don’t use props in all of your sermons like cool guy pastor “Jeremy” or “Trusten” did and all you can do is stare off into the distance and disassociate while you think about is middle aged dudes in designer outfits doing the splits on two ladders while teaching some shaky theological concepts…. we’ve all been there, right?

The pastor of a megachurch that I heard the gospel and was saved during the service, used a prop. And it's still a pet peeve of mine. Just because God can use it for His glory, doesn't mean it ain't goofy. God used a talking donkey in the OT. Some of these pastors are acting like one, but the King James word for Donkey, if you catch my drift.
