With JOLTS today, PCE tomorrow and payrolls Friday, he maps what each number needs to be, plus the trades he's taking. 📐 ON TODAY'S SHOW 🔴 THE 10-YEAR'S DO-OR-DIE LEVEL — A level is respected until it breaks, and for now it favors a pullback. A break of 5.25% targets 5.45% to 5.5%, which is the equivalent of another Fed hike. Odds now favor hikes in October and December. What breaks things is how fast rates rise, not how high they go. 🔵 WHAT THE DATA NEEDS TO SAY — The market wants slightly soft numbers, but not too soft. JOLTS consensus is 7.23 million, and Gareth wants something like 7.19 million. For consumer confidence, anything at 90 or above likely pushes yields up. 🟢 THE S&P — Down 0.75% yesterday but above the neutral zone. The beginnings of an inverse head and shoulders would measure to about 8,000. 🔵 THE UNDERBELLY — More S&P stocks are trading below their 50-day than above it, and a handful of mega caps are holding the index up. Oura pulled its IPO over market conditions. Anthropic's leaked filing warned that AI poses existential risks to humanity. 🔴 OIL — Down 3.25% out of the bear flag Gareth flagged yesterday, with $90 in play this week. Yields barely moved on the drop, which tells him debt supply matters too. 🔴 GOLD AND SILVER — Gold is bouncing off $4,100. A confirmed break opens $3,700 to $3,800, possibly $3,500, and Gareth nibbled a swing long anyway. Silver below $60 opens $54 to $55. A retrace to the scene of the crime lands near $50, where a .786 fib from the 2025 low lines up. 🔵 BITCOIN DOMINANCE — Bitcoin is the strongest chart of the group, but dominance broke out of a wedge and retested it. That's a warning for altcoins that just pumped: Bitcoin down 1–2% could mean alts down 6–10%. 🟢 THE TRADES — Aon is at major support with its RSI near 20. Boeing's pivot low is $177.50. Gareth is long Nike into Thursday's earnings off a descending trend line. Carnival's resistance is $24, with a possible day-trade short near $25.50 where the 50% fib lines up.
