The ideal Wolverine game would have the rhythmic parrying combat of Sekiro, the dismemberment mechanic of Metal Gear Revengeance, and the intricate gore systems of Half Sword or the Dead Space remake. Probably some other stuff too, but those should be the big three.

I liked Wolverine's Revenge but it is no joke one of the hardest games I have ever played. Enemies hit too hard, levels go on too long (and if you die, you're back to the beginning of the level), and Wolverine's healing ability feels almost useless. The story is solid and it's not overly long, but man is it a rough ride.

I feel like they didn't get creative enough with the combat in Marvel Wolverine. Just a thought since they have fire and electricity effects available, they could have integrated them into Wolverine gloves to create three distinct combat styles. The standard mode would feature fast, basic attacks. the fire mode would be slower but designed to take down heavily armored enemies and the electric mode would focus AOE damage but the damage is lower.with unique attack animations and finishers for each style. and upgrades are divided into three paths based on combat styles. In the story, if they aren't wearing the gloves, they have to use bucket just like in the game. however if the character is wearing the gloves according to the story, they can use them normally, even when changing skins. of course, this is just my take on it there might be a better way.
