And thank you for checking this legendary band! &nbsp;This live recording is from Wacken Open Air 2013, together with Floor Jansen [pronounced Yansen], the 3rd and present female singer of the band, in front of an 82K audience. <br> <br>About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it&apos;s good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London&apos;s The Metro Voices choir group and London&apos;s Young Musicians Children&apos;s Choir as their regular partners. <br> <br>Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the [updated] short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory): <br> <br>&quot; Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland. <br>Tuomas Holopainen [pronounced Tuo-mas], the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. [Sami Vanska was the bassist of the band starting with their 2nd studio album, he was with them until 2001. Then Marco Hietala was bassist and vocals, from 2001 to 2020. He announced his retirement from the band in January 2021. In May 2021 Jukka Koskinen [pronounced Yukka] became the bassist of the band, for the Human :II: Nature tour - and in August 2022, the band announced he became a permanent member] And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen [he also recorded the bass lines for their 1st studio album]. Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen [pronounced Yukka] is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka&apos;s health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition. <br>Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen [pronounced Tarr-ya] (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her. <br>There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps. <br>I want to welcome you to the Nightwish community. I hope you like them enough to continue the journey. Believe me Nightwish will surprise you with their songs. You will never know what to expect. They are unbelievable live. I want to warn you that Nightwish fans are hard core.   Originally Floor was sent by Allfather Odhinn to Midgard to gather the souls <br>of fallen warriors to Valhalla, but she got distracted and joined a series of bands. <br>However, Floor still gathers souls by her grace, beauty and the sheer power of her vocals.<br>We give thanks for her at our Blots regularly and hope that Odhinn won&apos;t notice <br>that she has never returned to Asgard. <br>ALL HAIL THE VALKYRIE GODDESS!!!<br>The Nightwish Army is incoming!
