  On my early outings, when I see resin... I harvest it, &quot;ground storage&quot; it at the base of the tree, and mark it on the map. &nbsp;This way there will be two resins when I go on a resin run when I need it later.

  I’m honestly so happy YouTube gave me a series that’s not a ‘challenge’ like everything else on here is right now. I miss when survival game videos were just people having fun, and not punishing themselves beyond belief 😂

  I recently got my best friend into vintage story and we have been playing it nonstop. In 5 IRL days we have Tim bronze tools, a farm with grain and some veggies, chickens, pregnant sows, a forge building, a house, a kitchen, real beds, enough bronze to make full chain armor for us both, pies, meals, and fire clay. We have put 25+ hours into our world in 5 days and have already made more progress into systems I haven’t even touched on in my 100+ hours. <br><br>I have fallen into the role of the explorer and blacksmith while my friend is my house wife lol

  So fun fact, many mushroom names are named in a way that tells if they&apos;re poisonous or not. One &quot;similarly&quot; looking mushroom to &quot;Jack o Lantern&quot; is &quot;Lobster&quot; which you CAN eat. So if it sounds like death, or represents death, its probably bad like Crows Eye.

  I love this gameplay, others go either too fast or assume that youve already played, this is super chill and detailed, enough speed to not be boring, but not so fast that its annoying. 10/10 will be watching more again.

  Personally, I eat most berries the moment I find them, to keep my inventory clear and to save longer lasting foods. The only exception is cranberries, because they last longer and I can get meals going before they spoil. I also don&apos;t keep rocks on me early game if I have plenty of flint. Due to not picking hunter, I craft four spears, and prioritize getting enough cattails to expand my inventory. I focus on eating berries, mushrooms, and crops in my search for a base location. Once I find a location, preferably near a lot of shallow water, woods, clay, peat, the ocean, and existing in a hard stone biome, I make more spears and go on a wolf and bear genocide to provide me with a buffer of meat, to start making pelts, and to make the surrounding area temporarily safe. Then I build an adobe house with a walled crafting area in front, which includes a 3-by-3 umbrella covering 4 pit kilns, 2 fire pits, and a future location for a forge and an anvil. I&apos;ll operate out of this base for awhile until I get enough materials to build a pretty windmill house.
