  Instead of saying you don’t have to pay me anything, you may want to say something like “giving us a driveway to clean gives us content to use and that is the payment we are looking for”. This way it settles the question of “what’s in it for you”. People are really weary about scams and if something doesn’t add up then I’d be wary too.

  I think a lot of yall miss read his reaction, he's old school so he's going to be skeptical and his appreciation isnt going to come off direct. His striking up a convo with you at the end was a sign of respect, you just couldn't understand his accent. I was lucky to grow up with men like him so I understood.

  You can tell he's always paid his way. Never been given anything for free. That man is a hardworker. He's probably worked most of his life and provided for his family. He doesn't understand todays time of social media and content. That's a hardworking, country man. Thank you guys for helping him when he probably didn't think he needed it.

  Poor guy probably just didn't want to be scammed. Nobody does nice things anymore and it's so refreshing to see some of the crews paying it back to their own neighborhoods on YouTube.

  One thing about older Black folks is some don’t believe that something doesn’t come without a price. They’re gonna question a lot. My dad’s dad was Black, and he would’ve reacted the same way. It’s not that they don’t show appreciation; it’s just that they see things in a different way.
