  Moved here in 2006. Native New Yorker. Love China. Got married to a local. Been married for 18 plus years. China is an amazing place. Every country has its good points and bad. China has been good to me.

  I'm also an expat Canadian living in China for over 17 years now. I actually stopped telling people back home how great this country is and how it is the most advanced country in the world on many levels. The reason I stopped telling people about it is two fold, One, they don't believe me and two, if people living in the US and Canada really knew how great China is, both countries would lose a significant portion of their population because people would come here on mass. Here, you live well, safe, you can save money, you have opportunities the create great things, you care surrounded in beauty and wonder. People here are friendly and for some reason still like foreigners. To the rest of the world, I say this. Make friends with China, do business with China, learn from China and don't believe western media garbage about China.
