I represent everyone who either comes back to these videos after not having fished for a while or are experienced veterans having fished multiple years who just enjoy the cinematography of Carl's videos.

Hi Carl I have been fishing on and off for over 60 years and “Mr Crabtree goes fishing” was my bible as a kid but this is the clearest explanation of float fishing I have seen- keep up the great work

Hi Carl, I took my 9 year old float fishing yesterday. I didn't have your kit sorry, but I followed all your tips as best as I could. We were surrounded by lots of anglers with all the gear but we were the only ones catching fish. Granted they were probably after bigger fish but we had loads of fun. In can be a bit intimidating going to a fishing lake, but all the guys were really nice and they were buzzing for my lad and all said well done. Thank you for your tips and advice its greatly appreciated.

Float fishing is top tier real fishing.. I would sooner go carp fishing in the margins with small float than chuck out 3 rods on alarms that is boring way of fishing that actually switched me off fishing when I moved too it

As an American this is so similar and yet so different to the bobber fishing I’m accustomed to. Like a lizard looking at a salamander and thinking “we definitely look similar, but there’s something wildly different going on here” it’s like fishing politely or reading an 19th century book on fishing for the upstanding Victorian gentleman.

I've never fished in my life. My 6 year old son and I went fishing today and using this method caught fish after fish. Perch, Rudd, Roach, and I even caught a carp using a floater and a maggot! Great video and thank you!

Genuinely the best ever beginner guides I’ve found on YouTube, thank you for doing these over the years I’ve caught so many fish from watching these! Girlfriend has just gotten into fishing recently and teaching her the basics is a lot of fun
