  The 100 is a great ya dystopian show, especially since Jaby is discovering his love for the genre

  Yeah, they pulled a Hunger Games / Harry Potter trick, splitting the third novel into two movies. And then they decided that instead of shooting the second movie as a movie, they'd make it the start of a TV series (which was not what the actors signed up for). Sounds like greed to me.

  This movie had nothing to do with the book. The fans checked out so hard that they didn’t finish the series. Creators pitched the idea of making it a TV show, but Shailene, Ansel, Theo and Miles were all big stars by then and all declined

  You should read the books, not only because they’re awesome, but because they didn’t make the last movie so you didn’t get the real ending. There should be some sort of law that if you start a series, you have to end the series.  You can’t just give up before you finish.

  Sometimes movie franchises end in a satisfying way, sometimes they don’t. But for this one, the main actress got so disinterested in the TV show they wanted to launch, they pretty much left this series unfinished. Well, it’s not like this franchise was going anywhere anyway.
