  There&apos;s also a huge attitude shift since CS2. As they made the game much easier/beginner friendly, run n&apos; shoot no brain simulator, people started to take it less and less seriously. And now, it&apos;s like nobody cares about anything. You can&apos;t find proper communities, ranks don&apos;t matter at all, nobody cares about anything but their own stats at most. It&apos;s incredible how trash the situation is.

  I&apos;m so glad you brought up Nocries. Everyone was trashing on me in comments when I said that just because he is mechanically very good doesn&apos;t mean he&apos;s not cheating. He played too perfectly. Clearly was using radar or something. Skilled player but not the next Donk.

  Hidden Path Entertainment had an extraordinary level of expertise in working with and optimizing Valve&apos;s Source Engine. The studio contributed to several major projects, including Left 4 Dead 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and had extensive experience with Source-based games. Since the release of Counter-Strike 2 in 2023, Valve no longer appears to be working with Hidden Path Entertainment, and if you look at the current state of CS2, especially its performance and optimization issues, it&apos;s hard not to wonder whether that collaboration played a bigger role than people realize.<br><br>At the same time, Hidden Path has faced serious financial difficulties. In 2024, the studio laid off 44 employees after failing to secure a partner or publisher to fund its unnamed RPG project. It&apos;s unfortunate to see a studio with so much experience with Valve&apos;s technology and Source Engine struggling to stay afloat, especially considering how important its contributions were to some of Valve&apos;s biggest games.
