No central heating ice 1 inch thick on the inside of the windows. no blankets on the bed just really old army coats but no one got stabbed and you could leave your front door open.

Milk bottles didn't shatter. The milk froze and the expanded column pushed the foil top up over the top.

I was 5 years old and the memories are still vivid, and I'm now 68. The wimps nowadays don't have a clue about what Mother Nature is capable of.😊

I was born in 1963.. life wasn't much different in 1973... how I remember those days, I'd go back anytime!!

My dad opened the front door (it opened inwards) and there was just a smooth wall of snow completely filling the space the door had occupied.
