Been playing this for about 6 months. Under 1400 almost everyone goes for pinning the knight. Such a powerful opening. Thanks for covering it.

i’ve been playing chess for 1 year now. the part i’ve struggled the most in is the middle game and the position that you showed is a very common position i get. thank you very much

This plan is very specific to the black bishop retreating after being threatened by the h3 pawn. Most of the time at lower levels the black bishop takes the knight and you are left to take with the queen. You did not show this line. Great video though. Thank you GM Igor.

This is awesome!! I’ve been playing chess for about a week now since Xmas break started and my biggest flaw is being able to set this up perfectly and screw up the end game failing to checkmate 😂😂 yes I’m bad, yes this video helps. Thanks

Not many actually talk about what to do after the opening which I think is more important than covering openings thanks for the great video I really learned a lot from this

At my level (1000-1100) pawn to h3 often ends up with capturing the knight on f3 and recapturing the bishop w the g pawn or the queen. Rarely does the bishop retreat. I'm curious to see the theory after that exchange
