  I actually just watched Belle’s Oprah interview and wanted to comment there. Comments were turned off. Just felt the need to say that I think her ex-husband was an incredible louse in the way he treated her emotionally and financially. She clearly seemed genuinely honest and even overly kind in her telling of her/their story, and based on that I felt so angry myself at the way he treated her. She deserved  so much better. He should have been and still should be the one to feel deeply ashamed. Thats how he chose to treat his wife of 20 years, the mother of his children. Dispicable! Im so glad Belle found herself in the end and realized how much better her life was without him in it! He’s not a good person and she’s better off without him.

  the way he wanted the pre-nup was a freaking red flag, and him waiting until 5 days before the marriage... there was something wrong there... and then she bought the 2 houses with her own money.... he knew exactly what he was doing.

  Leaving a marriage after two decades without apparent regret usually points to a man who has emotionally detached long before the physical exit. He may have spent years "quietly quitting" the relationship, processing the breakup internally so that by the time he leaves, he feels a sense of relief rather than loss

  I love how natural physically is Belle and down to earth and humble. Like she doesnt feel she needs to impress people. Very admirable, strong, kind woman who deserves all the happiness in the world.
