  They can fight in hockey because it’s a majority white sport lmao. People forget that the league had to crack down on the fighting because the WHITE AUDIENCE was complaining about seeing a bunch of Black players fighting. People also forget that players in the 80s and 90s absolutely complained about the hard fouls and cheap shots. Jordan literally called the Pistons bad for the game once he finally got past them in ‘91. That’s the bad thing about nostalgia, people on remember what they felt was good.

  If people think the league is soft, they dont watch. The refs are the only problem. Its so much hand checking and hacking in games it’s insane.

  The reason Lebron would approach a Steven A and not a Kevin Gates is because the personal attack wasn&apos;t the problem. The problem was Steven A blurring the line between Lebron&apos;s personal life and career. Setting that boundary is important because Steven A attempted to set a standard that if we can tie your personal life to the sport, it&apos;s alos up for public criticism. For example: look at how nasty sports journalists were about the Magic Johnson situation. Lebron has been a major advocate for player rights and protections and it makes sense for him to enforce that kind of boundary.
