  I have studied this case and read the book &quot;Something&apos;s Not Right.&quot; <br>I have gotten less than 4 minutes into this video and there have been numerous factual inaccuracies so far. &nbsp;No need to listen further. &nbsp;This os shoddy work.

  This is poorly researched as the K-rations were inside the trailer, not in the car. &nbsp;Gary was there for part of the time, as his shoes were found in the trailer and 37 K-rations cans had been opened inside the trailer. &nbsp;The door of the trailer was not open, only a broken window. &nbsp; Jackie&apos;s father was alive who found his body. It wasn&apos;t by a road-crew. &nbsp;Ted never suffered from schizophrenia, yes Gary did. &nbsp;The fact Gary could go without his medications for 2-4 weeks before his illness returned back. &nbsp;Gary never even bought his medications with him that night. &nbsp;It wasn&apos;t there, because he left it at home, as he never needed it just for social events. &nbsp; &nbsp;Ted had severe frostbite on his feet and lost many toes, so he was in a bad way, unlikely able to fend for himself after Gary left. &nbsp; &nbsp;The man simple couldn&apos;t get out of bed due to the fact he couldn&apos;t use his feet. &nbsp; Why wasn&apos;t Joseph Schons mentioned who one of the main players, yet video fails to mention him. &nbsp;The car keys were found on the remains of Jack. &nbsp; The bodies of Jack, Jackie and Bill bodies had been consumed by scavenging animals. &nbsp;Hardly anything was found with Jackie body. &nbsp;The shoes were found for Jack and Bill. &nbsp;Why weren&apos;t the blankets and lamp found on the roadway not mentioned? &nbsp; Or the sheet found outside the trailer not mentioned? Jack and Bill just slow learners, and either wasn&apos;t badly disabled. &nbsp;Gary live with his mother and stepfather, not in a halfway house at the time of his disappearance. &nbsp; Whoever done this video obviously done nil research into this case and copy from a book without bothering with the facts.

  Correction Jack Huerts Father did not die &nbsp;before the boys went missing. &nbsp;His father helped seach the forest with rangers &nbsp;and found his remains in June 1978.

  I recall when this happened. I was in high school. I think they got in a situation they didn&apos;t know how to cope with. They got lost after leaving the store and continued driving. They said he knew the area but not that area because they were lost. They didn&apos;t plan to stop at the convenience store. I think that was a last-minute, unplanned decision to celebrate the game victory with a sugar rush. If they hadn&apos;t stopped at that store for junk food, they would have made it home that night. Pulling out of the parking lot, he went the wrong direction. They were all hopped up on sugar and excited about the game win... not so much paying attention to which way they were going until they realized that they didn&apos;t know where they were. Then, the car became stuck, and they didn&apos;t know what to do about that. It sounds crazy but with all that sugary junk food in their system at a time of night when they should have been feeling tired in combination with the extreme cold they must have been experiencing... since they weren&apos;t dressed properly... I believe they were not thinking correctly and made one bad decision after the next resulting in their demise. The scene at the trailer could be from a mental breakdown since that one fella was terrified of the woods.. terrified of the dark... he needed a nightlight in order to sleep. That man had to be freaking out... all of them had to be in a state of extreme distress.. add in the extreme cold.. that long walk from the car to the trailer. They were freezing, frostbitten, distressed, scared, terrified... &nbsp; I would have stayed in the car and worked on getting the car unstuck.. even if I had to put my own coat under the back tire. I don&apos;t believe these men knew to do that. They had severe mental issues. I do believe that Gary, the military vet, tried to find help and got himself so lost that he&apos;ll never be found. This is just a very sad, horrible story and I&apos;m sorry that these men had to suffer the way they did. It&apos;s awful.

  Thank you for not burying the lead like every other documentary I&apos;ve seen on the Yuba County 5. It&apos;s shocking that they (at least some of them) made it to shelter, food, warmth. And used only the shelter. Sad, really.

  The boys stopped at a store on the way home and bought candy bars and snacks. &nbsp;THAT was the last time they were seen. &nbsp;The wrappers were in the car when found.

  Being forced to drive there, someone may have marched them into the woods, something happens allowing them all to scatter, but alone. I think another human is the cause of all of it.

  19 miles is 30 km as someone who walks a lot I can tell you walking that distance takes a very very long time even if you do it on flat terrain in the middle of the summer. <br>A 30 km walk in the freezing cold winter in uneven terrain - that is something very different. That will drain you.
