  Well, Fabien just confirmed the Light User being assessed on every employee.  So much for the small shred of hope I had that they'd come to their senses.

  Spanish partner here.<br>Light users are not default for all employees like you mention. Is a &apos;new&apos; type of user with access to hr apps only.<br>This option already existed if you asked, but now with a reduced price!<br><br>So, you can still use attendance, for example, without pay any &apos;light&apos; license.<br><br>Try to create employees without invite them in an odoo 20!

  Wow that part about the light users is a big change in pricing, they did not mention this at all during the presentation. Only that it would be a license for barcode users. Not that it would apply for all shopfloor users. I hope they will revert this, because of all the sudden Odoo has become a lot more expensive that with the big 20% price increase.

  But what if you simply used Odoo as the engine and built a custom layer on top of it, one that allows your users to handle all their tasks? For instance, you could purchase just three licenses, connect them to that extra layer via an API, and then let an unlimited number of users carry out their daily work there. It takes some time to program, of course, but with tools like Replit or Codex, you could have it up and running in a few weeks. And you’d save a lot of money every year, right? <br>You’d no longer be bound by restrictions or forced to deal with updates and migrations. Since Odoo is open source, it’s quite easy to set up your own ERP, featuring exactly the functionality you need, and connect it to Odoo via an API. You’d be using Odoo as the engine but the interface you’s create yourself and would have excellent control over users and therefor costs. That seems like the best way to save money, doesn&apos;t it?

  In the ai agents part, how does odoo choose the right model for the task and do they add the new models like 6.1 sol just dropped and it’s almost astra level and fraction of the cost.<br><br>What do you think this will effect the performance and the token usage?
