  Everyone except Russians is no longer dreaming of fantasies. Everyone else is looking at reality as it is.<br><br>The world respects Russia — for the national power it possesses, for the power it has demonstrated, and for the power it may demonstrate in the future.<br><br>In the eyes of the world, Russia is being treated as a country whose assets can be seized and enjoyed at will, a country against which weapons can be supplied for the purpose of killing Russians, a country whose oil does not have to be purchased at a fair price, and a country that can be cut off from the global economy even if it begs for forgiveness and pleads to be allowed to stand alongside the rest of the world.<br><br>This is neither imagination nor a dream. It is something that is actually happening, right now, at this very moment.<br><br>So... what exactly is anyone imagining?<br><br>Whether you call it Kyiv or Kiev, even if the Russian tricolor were to be raised there now, everyone knows that it would be far too late.<br><br>Even if Russia were to occupy the city, how many of the circumstances described above would actually return to the way they were before 2022...?<br><br>For that matter, is occupation even possible in the first place...?<br><br>How did things become so terribly broken?<br><br>It is truly a strange and perplexing thing.
