If there were a “love” button, I would press it for this video. I was hungry for some story about Schubert, and this wonderful gentleman provides not only the story but also the music and perspectives of Schubert’s life and character. I really wish there would be more videos like this on YouTube.

I am in tears for the short life of Schubert. I always felt that Schubert was a deep deep thinker of life its self expressed in "Im Abendrot."

Our beloved Schubert... his life was tragic and triumphant at the same time. What a gift he gave the world! Thank you for this wonderful video

I love Schuberts “Serenade”. When I was about 11 or 12 I learned this piece and it has stayed with me through my life. I’m 75 now and I still listen to it when I have trouble sleeping.

In case you all were wondering, Mr. Tengstrad's instrument is a Shigeru Kawai grand piano.

The covid lockdown was worth it for having given Tengstrand the leisure to produce this documentary. Brilliant and never a dull moment or trite comment. I love Schubert more than ever.

Thank you for this! Schubert is my all time favorite composer and one I adore playing on the piano. I remember my studio teacher comparing the end of his prolific life as a “super nova” so fitting
