This was one of the most accurate builds that I have come across so far. I do enjoy seeing others work their craft well..

Thanks for spending the time to produce this beautiful piece of work. It really drives home the value of having a Surface Grinder and Shaper Cutter in the workshop. Cheers.

Gday Jon, what a massive improvement on the mill, now you can take some decent cuts, the vice turned out really nice and the grind job just tops it off nicely, brilliant job mate, cheers

Nice little vise, and good to see the new surface grinder making sparks 'in anger'. Thanks for sharing.

I haven't run or seen a shaper since 1981. Glad to see someone using one. I always thought they were a great machine and can really hog of material when needed, but can also do fine work<br>A really nice build on the vise. I made a vise very similar to that in trade school. It was sent out for heat treat with other projects and never came back.

Classic build! Was a final project in 1st year machinist class, but instead of milling out the body, used a bandsaw to rough cut out the waste. Saved a lot of time milling. Used an ACME thread. Case hardened body and jaw before final grind to shape.
