  Here's an old-school tip everyone.  Get an old mascara wand, wash it, dry it and use it to apply vaseline to your eyelashes and eyebrows.  I'm 62 (nearly 63) and I have a full set top and bottom lashes very long and still have my own eyebrows whereas most of my friends have sparse lashes and almost no eyebrows.  My mum taught my this and it works for me!!! xxxxx

  PEOPLE'S DIET IN THE 1970s IS THE THING THAT MADE THEIR SKIN FAB. They weren't consuming processed food, fast food or sugary drinks. We were OUTSIDE & physically moving. Those 2 things alone count for more than any "product"

  You forgot frosty blue eyeshadow. I was a freshman in 1970 and I had frosty blue eyeshadow. It was popular for so long no matter what your eye color, my eyes are hazel.

  I'm having a hard time even remembering a single woman I knew in the '70s that wore more than lip gloss or lipstick and mascara. I have never heard of any woman putting Vaseline all over her face. It was used for lips only or on the body it might be used on elbows.  Women look like they'd been outside because they were actually outside😂

I once asked my dermatologist how my mother never used almost anything for facial care and still had a beautiful and well-groomed face. She was a teen in the 50s. He told me: "There simply wasn't this kind of pollution, poor-quality food, stress, and so on. But he said that genetics is number one in terms of plump, longer, youthful skin.

  I remember women having really thin eyebrows during the 70s. Of course I was a child and I may be remembering wrong but I'm swear all the ladies I knew had thin brows.

  We wore Bonnie Bell watermelon 🍉 lip gloss and Lemon up perfume by Love..We smelled and tasted so good 👍🏻.

  I've been doing a lot of these for decades and still do.  I get compliments on my makeup and get told I'm pretty or beautiful all the time.  So, these things must really work.

  As a tween in the 70s, I wanted to wear makeup to school so badly, but my parents wouldn’t let me (until I turned 15). So, I figured out a few makeup “hacks.” <br><br>For mascara, I’d apply a thin layer of Vaseline to my eyelashes and “comb” it through using one of my dad’s old black hair combs. For lip gloss, I’d combine a tiny bit (tiny being the operative word) of cherry instant Jello mix with a little Vaseline, and apply that to my lips (in hindsight, the color and texture were a lot like Clinique’s Black Honey lip stain). For “rouge,” I’d use a tiny bit of cherry Jello powder mixed with Jergens hand lotion. It blended right &nbsp;into my skin.<br><br>Thankfully my parents left for work every day approx 30 mins before I had to catch my school bus. That gave me ample time to apply my fake makeup.😁
