Gladiator 4 Years and 116,500 miles Update - Are They Reliable?

  Had mine for 3 year and 9 months, I’m just over 189,000 miles and it’s still going strong!

  My Ecodiesel Gladiator is almost at 80k miles.  Lots of off-roading.  Been to the Arctic Ocean.  Zero problems so far.

  I love seeing these vids. I put almost 27K miles in one year on my Gladiator. 6spd manual Sport model. I love my dang truck and I’m happy to see so many others love theirs, too. We’re lucky.

  Since the oil consumption happens under load, your issue may be PCV valve related. $40 to test the theory, and easy to swap. Bad PCV valves cause oil consumption under load because crankcase pressure gets high and pushes oil into the combustion chamber. &nbsp;<br><br>If that doesn&apos;t fix it a capable independent mechanic should be able to perform compression and leakdown tests. Other than PCV there&apos;s not too many sources on our engines that can cause oil consumption. Rings/Cylinder walls and valve seals are about it. Bad valve seals generally burn oil at startup or when coming off of high vacuum - like when leaving a stoplight. So that&apos;s likely not your problem. If your compression is level across cylinders and the leakdown test doesn&apos;t show an abundance of blowby anywhere weird I&apos;d just monitor it, add oil when needed and continue to drive it. You can go A LONG TIME with a little oil consumption.

  Awesome, I’ve got a 2020 Gladiator with 121,360 miles. It’s just started with the oil cooler leak. &nbsp;Hope everything keeps going well for you.

  Hey Matt, loved seeing your Gladiator around town when I was living in Ar. I have a 21 Rubi with 115k miles as well. Been all over the west coast, moab, and every national park you can imagine. Luckily not too many issues, just some electrical gremlins. Hope to get alot more life out of mine. Just now started upgrading it. Great build man!
